2:00 am  silence

the singing bowl

on the bookshelf

[thunder]

the first day of May

I had almost forgotten 

the sound of thunder

[pause]

one dandelion seed pauses in the golden rain tree

[spring]

the corn is up in all the fields

each plant 

no bigger than a squirrel’s ear

 

[thoughts]

empty thoughts

my words

turn to exhales

[azaleas]

azaleas aflame

angels walk in morning light

wearing red suede shoes

[spring]

glad hearts everywhere::new leaves on the dogwood
